Hum TV’s drama serial “Ishq Murshid” is gaining popularity due to its unique narrative and superb casting. Fans adore the connection between Durefishan Saleem and Bilal Abbas. According to reports, the drama’s entire episodes have received around 1 billion views thus far. Fans in India admired Fazal Baksh and Shibra. A couple of episodes of “Ishq Murshid” have made it onto YouTube’s trending list. Farooq Rind, a notable director, directs Ishq Murshid. The play was written by Abdul Khaliq Khan and produced by Moomal Entertainment and MD Productions.

Recently, Abdul Khaliq Khan, the writer of Ishq Murshid, appeared on Something Haute’s show Haute Talk, presented by Hassan Choudhary. During the presentation, he revealed the names of male leads he was considering for Shahmeer’s part.

Talking about it, he added, “There were many names that sprang to mind since we wanted to have prominent stars in the 8:00 p.m. slot because hit actors capture the attention of viewers. We considered Ahad Raza Mir, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Wahaj Ali, and Bilal Abbas for the lead role. Ahad Raza Mir asked for the entire script, which was not feasible. Hamza Ali Abbasi was occupied with Jaan E Jahan, but I wanted him to participate in it since I saw him as Fazal Baksh and politician Shahmeer.

Wahaj Ali was already performing Tere Bin, so we didn’t pursue him much, despite being contacted. All four were approached, but Bilal Abbas was the one who had the best knowledge of our screenplay; he only read the first few episodes and got the character, which helped us a lot.” Speaking on Durefishan’s character, he stated that Siraj Ul Haq offered the name to him, and they all agreed on it.
