Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant has demanded a public apology from Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the incident of a Muslim woman doctor pulling her veil.
Rakhi Sawant said in her video statement that Nitish Kumar should call the media and apologize to everyone by calling the victim a sister. Such an attack on a Muslim woman’s veil cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.
Rakhi Sawant said that she considered Nitish Kumar her favorite leader, but such behavior has disappointed her greatly. Rakhi Sawant said, “Nitish ji, how will you feel if I pull your dhoti in the market like this?”
She said that in Islam, women are ordered to wear a veil and a veil and no one has the right to forcibly touch a woman’s veil.
The actress said that attacks on a woman’s honor cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. On the one hand, there is talk of respecting women and on the other hand, they are degrading their honor, this will never be tolerated.
On the other hand, Zaira Wasim, who rose to fame with Aamir Khan’s film Dangal, has also condemned this act of the Bihar Chief Minister. In a post on her X account, she has demanded an apology from the Chief Minister.
Zaira wrote in her post that a woman’s dignity and decorum are not a toy, especially not on a public platform. As a Muslim woman, it was extremely upsetting to see another woman removing her veil like this and at the same time, seeing that carefree smile. Zaira Wasim further wrote that strength does not mean you should cross your limits.
