Actor Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor’s film Abhiar Gulal is facing trouble. After the Pahalgam attack, due to backlash in India, the songs of the film have been removed from YouTube.
Fawad Khan’s return to Indian cinema now seems uncertain, as his film Abhiar Gulal is caught in controversy just weeks before its release.
After the attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, there has been a strong reaction in India against artists from Pakistan.
Two songs from Abhiar Gulal — Khudaya Ishq and Angrezi Rang Rasiya — are no longer available on YouTube India. These songs were uploaded by the film’s production house, A Rcher Lens Entertainment, on their official YouTube channel, but now Indian viewers cannot see them. The well-known music label Saregama, which had the music rights of the film, has also removed the songs from its YouTube channel.
On April 22, Vaani Kapoor shared a promotional video of the film on her Instagram, where she was seen with Fawad Khan, but later she deleted the video. This act was heavily criticized on social media, and hashtags like BoycottVaaniKapoor# started trending.
Due to the current situation, the release of the film Abhiar Gulal is now uncertain. It was supposed to be released on May 9, 2025, but now its release is in doubt.
