Who believed the most in Shah Rukh Khan’s success?
Shah Rukh Khan has shared that only his mother truly believed he would become a superstar one day. He lost both his parents, Mir Taj Muhammad Khan and Lateef Fatima Khan, at a young age. His sister, Shehnaz Lalarukh Khan, has always quietly supported him through life.
Shah Rukh doesn’t talk much about his parents in public, but whenever he does, his words are very emotional and touching.
In an old interview, Shah Rukh Khan shared that when he was thinking about becoming an actor, no one believed he could do it — except his mother. She used to say he would become like Dilip Kumar, while others joked that he couldn’t even be like “Kumar,” let alone Dilip Kumar.
Shah Rukh also said that he feels sad his mother never got to see any of his TV shows or films because she passed away before his acting career began. Both his parents had died before he entered the film industry.
Despite this deep loss, Shah Rukh turned his pain into motivation. He said he always felt he would make such big films that his parents could watch them from heaven. He wanted to become such a big star that his mother could see him.
On the work front:
In 2023, Shah Rukh had a fantastic year with three back-to-back hit films — Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki.
Now, he is preparing for his next big project titled “King,” directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
In this action thriller, Shah Rukh will play the role of a killer. His daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and actor Abhay Verma (from the series “Munjya”) will also be part of the cast.
