Famous Indian writer, poet, and lyricist Javed Akhtar has once again sparked a debate on social media with his controversial statement.

In the past, Javed Akhtar complained that he faced discrimination in India and was not allowed to buy a house because he is a Muslim. But recently, he has been seen supporting India and speaking against Pakistan and its artists.

He not only criticizes Pakistan but also speaks against Islam, as he now identifies as an atheist.

Javed Akhtar has made controversial statements about Islam before, but this time he spoke about not wanting to go to heaven, which drew a lot of attention and criticism.

A video is going viral on social media in which Javed Akhtar is seen answering questions at an event. One of his replies surprised his fans.

In the video, Javed Akhtar says that he is not interested in going to heaven because his favorite fruits are not there.

He said that his favorite fruit is banana, and it is not available in heaven. Guava might also not be there. So, if his favorite fruits are in hell, maybe he would prefer going there instead.

This statement received strong reactions from many Muslims. One social media user said that it’s not the eyes that are blind but the hearts.

Another user commented that may Allah guide him. Speaking such foolish and misleading things despite having knowledge is a sign of ignorance.
