Senior actor Anupam Kher said that he was rejected from many films because of his baldness and people also made fun of him. While talking to Free Press Journal, he remembered that when he entered the film industry in 1981, he was already bald.

He said that today his baldness is considered stylish, but at that time hair was falling from different parts of his head, which made him very upset.

People advised him to become an assistant or a writer instead of an actor. Even when he told them that he was a gold medalist from the National School of Drama, they still doubted his dream of becoming an actor just because he was bald.

Anupam Kher’s first secretary, Ashok Punjabi, also advised him many times to wear a wig and asked him if he had ever seen a hero without hair.

But Anupam Kher refused to wear a wig and stayed determined to become a hero without hair.

He said that people like to judge others, but the real beauty is in telling them clearly to stay quiet.

According to him, real value is in a person’s work, not in their looks. People who criticize usually speak from their own weaknesses. But in the end, your work speaks for you, and that is the most important thing.

Anupam Kher also said that for long-term success, appearance matters very little. He gave the example of Shah Rukh Khan, saying that he is not very tall or muscular, but still he has ruled the industry for 40 years.

He added that success depends on how you present yourself.
